Our Source
We
had a humble beginning in 1983 when the Kalambate family started
operating from a cowshed in Pune, which was not as bustling as it is
today, and was only considered an outpost of Mumbai. The founders sought
to create awareness, spread knowledge, build relations and hone their
technical knowhow in the field of environmental management. Such
thoughts led our founders to work on creating solutions to check the
spread of waste and convert the same into utilizable industrial
products. The journey began with understanding and focusing strongly on
farmers and specific needs of the rural communities.
Since
inception, we have been focusing on the requirements of farmers, the
environment and the rural communities. In fact, we were one of the first
companies to manufacture vital agrochemicals in India. The Shree
Vivekananda Research Institute and Training Centre (VRTI) has been
founded by us and has been working in the partnership with communities
and farmers located across arid Kutch in these segments:

With
its endeavour, Blueberry Corp became one of the first Indian companies
to do innovation in the area of Solid and Liquid Waste Management
technologies. Such approach led to the creation of Environ-Biotech
division. Our company is relentlessly working with new technologies even
today to create awareness about sustainable waste management solution,
such as Decentralized Waste Management among industries, communities and
households in India.

treatment and processing of municipal solid waste. This solution is a

The Process
Our process is bifurcated into a two-stage process comprising Microbial Aided and Accelerated Composting.
Blueberry
Corp bio-culture Bioculum is used in the first stage to inoculate the
organic component present in the unclassified MSW. Sanitreat offered by
Blueberry is used to control the odour emanating from the organic waste
undergoing composting process. In the next step, the fully composted
organic matter is separated from the recyclable non-biodegradable
components using a mechanical system.
Various
urban bodies have warmly welcomed this accelerated aerobic process of
composting since this is a cost-effective, efficient and effective
process. The process is environment-friendly and consumes low power.
An
eternally innovation-driven organization, we continue to invest in
R&D for providing improved pre-segregation techniques meant for
different fractions of MSW. We also work towards perfecting the process
for ensuring enhanced material recovery. Moreover, we do regular
evaluation of existing Waste-to-Energy Technologies so as to enhance the
